How to check and install windows updates

Here are the steps to check for Windows updates on a Windows 11 device:

1. Open Settings

Click the Start button (Windows logo) on the taskbar.
Select Settings (gear icon), or press Windows + I on your keyboard to open the Settings menu directly.

2. Navigate to Windows Update

In the Settings window, scroll down and click on Windows Update in the left-hand menu.

3. Check for Updates

In the Windows Update section, click the Check for updates button.
Windows will now search for available updates for your device.

4. Download and Install Updates

If updates are available, they will start downloading automatically.
Once the download is complete, you will see an option to Install the updates. Click Install to proceed.

5. Restart the Device (if Necessary)

Some updates may require a restart to complete the installation. If prompted, click Restart now or choose a convenient time for the restart.
